If you're craving Indian food, but not the exorbitant pricing of the few well-known places here, give Moksha a try! The owner, a chef himself, is attentive and friendly, the food is authentic (he and the chef are here from India), and the pricing is reasonable.
Today we had samosas, the goat cheese naan, saag paneer, and aloo gobi. So nice to dig in to some tasty, spicy food! (You can request your level of spice, if picante is not your thing.) Rice and a little salad are included, unlike other CR Indian places where they are considered extra dishes. The beer was frosty cold; no ice in the glass necessary.
It is not a large menu, but that was fine for us. The owner has created a cozy, warm atmosphere out of a small space, with nice music and decorative details. Super nice guy! We will definitely come back and support this business.
>> NOTE: the FB map is not correct. It's near the corner of Paseo Colón and Calle 38 (NOT 28!). Across from Hertz, two doors down from Subway.
Es increíblemente bueno! La atención y la comida! El camarero está pendiente de que todo esté bien sin llegar al punto de ser intenso. La comida es exquisita. Súper recomendado!
Moksha is fantastic new restaurant right in central San Jose. The owner Pankaj is a charismatic, hard-working, proud Indian chef with a true dedication to his craft. As he continues to build out his dinner menu, he gets opinions and advice from all that try his cuisine. We had a great green curry, naan, and chicken tikka. You definitely need to come here!
