Delicious food every weekday. 🙏😊💕 My husband and I have a 2-week stay at Villas Palmas Resort (Dec 24, 2017 - Jan 7, 2018); during one of our walks around the neighbourhood we discovered this gem of a restaurant.
Beautiful "backyard garden" family restaurant. We met Rocío, and her 2 sons Miguel, José (chef); her husband makes the churros.
Javier, who served us each time, is also extremely friendly. A very nice gentleman. It is open Monday-Friday, 11am - 5pm in a business district, less than a 5 minute walk from Villas Palmas.
When not doing excursions, we ate there as often as we could, i.e. 4 times (3 times this week alone). Good portions, great prices (<$20 USD for a meal for 2).
The seafood casserole was the most expensive we paid, but only 8,636 colones ($15USD) and worth every penny.
Highly recommended for anyone staying in the San Jose area (Villas Palmas Resort and Best Western Irazu Hotel & Casino are very close).
Excellent customer service at this unassuming, private restaurant. A highlight of our dining experiences in Costa Rica.
